Have you tried ChatGPT yet?

ChatGPT seems to be the talk of summer. Whether people are using it to write marketing material, prepare articles or profiles, it seems to be amazing users all over the world, apparently including Microsoft who seem to be considering a major $10Bn investment in it.

If you haven’t already tried it, browse to https://chat.openai.com/ and give it a try.

I asked ChatGPT to describe itself, and this is what it said :

ChatGPT is a powerful language generation model developed by OpenAI. It can be used to generate human-like text based on a given prompt, making it a versatile tool for businesses.

Some of the potential use cases for ChatGPT in a business setting include:
• Automating customer service inquiries and responses
• Generating written content such as product descriptions and email templates
• Summarizing large amounts of data or text
• Generating creative ideas and suggestions for marketing campaigns
One of the key benefits of ChatGPT is its ability to understand and respond to natural language input, making it easy for non-technical users to interact with the model. Additionally, ChatGPT can be fine-tuned for specific industries or use cases to improve its performance and accuracy.
It’s important to note that ChatGPT is a powerful tool, and like any technology, it’s important to understand the limitations, and it should be used in conjunction with human oversight.

I had a little fun with it and asked for a movie script – to be fair I gave it a brief synopsis and what it came up with was pretty pedestrian.  But it is interesting to see what is being achieved at this early stage.

I’ve also used it to draft a job description, and write a job ad (https://www.kinetics.co.nz/careers-join-our-winning-team), or try and ask for a recipe. You can even ask it how AI can help your industry!

It is hard to imagine what these tools will be able to do by the end of the year. Next time you need to prepare some content, give it a go!
